Spring '13 - starts even COLDER!!!
A cold and windy end to the official winter season. Skies will be mostly cloudy today and winds will howl out of the west, at times gusting to 40 MPH. High temps will only get into the lower 30's, about 15 degrees below seasonal norms. Windchills this afternoon won't be getting out of the teens.
We get even colder overnight as another surge of even colder air rushes in out of the west. Winds stay up overnight with lows falling to near 20 degrees.
The Vernal Equinox, "Spring", occurs at 7:02 Wednesday morning and the 1st day of spring will be anything but spring-like. In fact, tomorrow will be even colder than today! The first day of spring will be partly sunny and windy. High temps may not even get out of the 20's during the afternoon... combine that with the winds and "feels-like" temps will be in the single digits and teens. Brrr.....
We're cold for the remainder of the work week, the weekend - and right now it's looking like a cold ride right through Easter. Hang in there.
