CHARDON -- UPDATE: Chardon High shooter sentenced to life in prison

Original report: The northeast Ohio teen who pleaded guilty to killing three students at Chardon High School last year plans to remain silent during his sentencing on Tuesday.

According to Cleveland NBC-affiliate WKYC, 18-year-old TJ Lane has asked that his lawyers not speak for him at today's sentencing, which means he'll face a judge without legal assistance and without having to say a word, not even an apology to the victims' families.

Lane admitted to killing 16-year-old Daniel Parmertor, 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin and 17-year-old Russell King and wounding three more during a shooting spree at Chardon High on Feb. 27, 2012.

Victims will have the chance to address the judge in Chardon before he issues his sentence. He faces a possible life sentence in prison.
