Police kill Sylvania Twp. man near Cleveland

SOLON, OH -- A Sylvania Township man has been killed in a shootout with police near Cleveland.

Police say 22-year-old Kevin Bailey fled a police stop in Solon late Sunday night.

They say he then crashed his vehicle and fired at approaching officers. The officers returned fire and bailey was hit and killed.

It wasn't clear why bailey fled officers in the first place.
