A dynamic storm will move in tonight will bring a "mixed bag" of precipitation to the area late tonight.
And where you live will determine what you'll see, and when, as the storm moves through the area.
Northwest Ohio: rain showers move in late in the evening. There may be a brief period of freezing rain as the storm initially moves in. As temperatures cool aloft, a transition from a rain/snow mix or sleet will happen after midnight. Then toward sunrise, the system will grow colder...changing the precipitation over to light snow before ending Friday morning.
Southeast Michigan: a quick bout of freezing rain or sleet late this evening. After midnight, enough cold air will move in to change the precipitation to a rain/snow mix after midnight...then over to snow. 1" to 2" of accumulation could occur before sunrise, then it will taper off to a few snow showers Friday morning before ending. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Hillsdale, Lenawee and Monroe Counties.
South of a Defiance, Bowling Green to Fremont line...most of the precipitation will fall as rain at first. A brief period of freezing rain may be possible as the storm moves in around midnight. A change over to all snow will happen closer to sunrise.
The WNWO Weather Team is continuing to monitor the storm as it moves in. Adjustments to the precipitation types described above may be needed as the storm unfolds.
