TOLEDO -- Toledo Police are investigating the death of a woman found inside a West Toledo apartment Sunday morning.
Authorities say they received a report of a woman found naked and mutilated inside unit 14 at Stadium Apartments, 3118 W. Sylvania Ave.
Family members at the scene identified Joan Watson as the victim of a death that TPD officials are calling “violent in nature.”

Meme White, a relative of Watson's, remembered seeing her last night at the Stop n’ Go across the street. “She’s a good person, and this should have happened to nobody,” said White. “It’s a sad thing,” she continued.
Several people were handcuffed and taken by TPD for questioning. TPD Sgt. Joe Heffernan said the investigation is on-going.
