TOLEDO -- For the second time in three days Northwest Ohio was lashed by severe weather.  A tornado warning was issued at around 6:15 p.m. for eastern Ottawa County, eastern Sandusky County, and western Erie County.  A WNWO viewer sent in a picture of a downed power line in Fulton county.   However it has not been confirmed if a tornado touched down in any of those areas. Thunderstorm warnings for most of the counties in our viewing region expired at 7 p.m.

Hail was reported in Catawba Island and residents there reported trees being knocked down to the heavy wind gusts. Starting around 6 p.m. Toledo experienced  heavy rains which lasted for about 30 minutes.  WNWO meteorologist Tom Kippen does not anticipate any more severe weather for the rest of the evening.
