BELLEVUE -- It appears lightning is to blame for this week's magnesium fire at a Sandusky County plant.

The State Fire Marshal says Tuesday morning's fire at MagRe Tech in Bellevue was natural.

The fire mashal says based on National Weather Service data, fire scene evidence and witnesses interviews, they feel the fire was most likely due to a lightning strike.

Four semis with scraps of magnesium caught fire and burned for more than 5 hours before the fire was brought under control.

No one was hurt.
