It has been a tame start to winter so far. In the fall I penned an article addressing the pre-winter sentiment that the coming winter would be horrible, filled with frigid temps and flying snows. 

At the time I didn't believe there was any basis to believe that anyone could foretell/forecast what the winter ahead would deliver until we got into it.  I still feel the same way and hope that the video above will help you to understand why.
