TOLEDO -- Flooding from heavy storms prevented about 1,700 first-shift workers from coming to work at the Chrysler North and Wrangler Assembly plants on Friday. Sanitation crews worked to mop up water in the plant, making conditions safe for second-shift employees.

Wrangler Assembly Plant and Supplier Park second shift workers should report to work at their normally scheduled time, according to spokeswoman Jodi Tinson.
