Wednesday, November 28, 2012  The Lucas County Dog Warden Julie Lyle and the Lucas County Board of Commissioners are planning to reveal the creation of "Cutie's Fund", a new dedicated donation account to help fund the treatment of dogs with critical injuries and illnesses.

Friday, August 24, 2012  Another huge event happing this weekend will be the mega adoption that will be held at the Pet Smart in Rossford. Several local animal groups are getting together to adopt out cats and dogs.

Tuesday, May 22, 2012  Finalizing the adoptions of the 5 remaining “Suitcase 6” puppies, and their mother, on Tuesday coincided with the end of a 25-year-old Ohio law that labeled all pit bulls as vicious.

Thursday, May 17, 2012  The Toledo Area Humane Society will now move to phase two of adopting out the Suitcase 6 puppies, which involves a random drawing of the applicants and a screening process.

Monday, April 23, 2012  The man accused of stuffing six puppies into a suitcase and allegedly leaving them next to a dumpster in North Toledo will return to court of Monday morning.

Monday, April 16, 2012  All six suitcase puppies and their mother have been placed in an undisclosed foster home, according to Toledo Area Humane Society's John Dinon.
