It may have been the easiest International League Hitter of the Week decision in history.
Toledo's Brad Eldred took home the honors in what had to be a landslide.
Eldred hit 4 home runs with 15 RBI's and scored 10 runs last week.
He entered Monday night's game on a 17-game hit streak. Then Hens have played 17 games this year.
He didn't disappoint.
Eldred stuck one in the left field fence for a ground rule double in the third and then blasted a 2-run home run in the 6th inning en route to a 5-3 win over Columbus.
"I've been taking a few walks and that's kind of been a good thing," said Eldred. "It's given me a good chance to get a little better pitch to hit and I haven't been missing them too much."
The 31-year-old is currently leading the IL in five separate hitting categories.
Somebody get Jim Leyland on the phone.
