Curt Miller is no longer the head coach of the BGSU women's basketball team.

The MAC record six-time coach of the year, resigned on Wednesday to accept the head coaching duties at Indiana University.

“This is a bittersweet moment that we knew would come eventually,” said BGSU Director of Athletics Greg Christopher.  “Curt transformed women’s basketball here at Bowling Green. As much as our department and the community will miss him, we are also thrilled for Curt as he takes this new challenge.”

Miller won seven MAC regular season titles in his 11 years with the Falcons, complining a 258-92 record while going 135-41 in conference play. BGSU has won atleast 20 games every season for the last nine years in a row, a MAC record.

This past season the Falcons, with only one active senior on the squad, went 14-2 in MAC play and lost in the semifinals of the MAC tournament. Miller was briefly absent from the sidelines after suffering a mild stroke in the Falcons win over Eastern Michigan on January 22nd, the 250th of his career.

Christopher says the Falcons will start a national search to find their next head coach.
