FINDLAY -- The sun is out and the weather is warm and spring ball is underway in Findlay.

The University of Findlay started their 2012 season this weekend with spring practice at the Armstrong Sports Complex just off Blanchard ave in Flag City.

Last year, the first under head coach Rob Keys, the Oilers tallied two big wins over Wayne State and Grand Valley State and went 6-5 on the season, a five game improvement from 2010.

"The win against Wayne State and the win against Grand Valley, these are great but at the same time that's 2011, we got to move to 12'. But, no doub, we're going to take some of those pluses and move forward," Keys said.

Findlay holds their spring game at 1pm on Saturday April 21. Keys said, so far, year two has been more comfortable than year one.

"Last year, a spring ago, we had no clue what we had as a palyer, as a team. [At] this point, we went through a whole season, all these guys are back so we have a much better understanding of where to put guys."
