Notre Dame finishes TRAC regular season 14-0

The Northern Buckeye Conference girls basketball season came down to the final night of play.

Lake and Rossford came into the night both tied atop the standings.

At Eastwood, the Flyers started off hot with Hannah Cox hitting three straight three-pointers to open the game. Lake cruised to a 53-34 win.

At Otsego, the Bulldogs looked well on their way to sharing the title with the Flyers, leading by nine going into the 4th. But the Knights opened the final quarter on a 9-0 run and senior Hannah Greulich hit a go-ahead three with 34 seconds left to pull off the comeback and the upset, 46-43.

"Senior night, had four seniors on the floor at the end, all of them played a big role in our game tonight. All heart, they came back and battled, battled, battled," said Otsego head coach Scott Bernthisel.

"It's been a long time since we've been in this position and we'll learn from it. And...hopefully a year from now we'll be in the same position," said Rossford head coach Kevin Mitchell. The Bulldogs finished alone in 2nd place in the NBC.

In the TRAC, Notre Dame outscored Central Catholic 34-4 in the 3rd en route to an 80-40 win. The Eagles finished the regular season 14-0 in league play.
