UPDATE: Missing Toledo teen found safe

Missing since Monday, a South Toledo family is now asking for the community's help in finding 14-year-old Cammie Smith.

According to the Toledo police report, Cammie left her house, located near South and South Detroit, to go to a friend's place around 5 p.m. and has not been heard from since. The girl's mother told police she believes Cammie is still at the friend's house, but that she did not know the address.

Cammie's aunt wrote to WNWO that police consider Cammie a runaway, so her disappearance does not qualify for an Amber Alert. The family noted that the girl had not run away before and was a "good student."

Cammie is described as 5'2" tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with more information about Cammie's whereabouts is urged to call CrimeStoppers at (419)-255-1111.
