TOLEDO -- Singer and American Idol runner-up, Crystal Bowersox, returned to Toledo to perform, raising money for Toledo School for the Arts, on March 3, 2013.

Humble beginnings and passion for music have driven the 25-year old Crystal Bowersox to become one of the most recognized young voices and up and coming singer/songwriters in America.

An emotive folk-rock-country style has been catapulted from the cramped coffeehouses and cavernous subway tunnels of Chicago to millions of homes across America when she placed second in Season 9 of American Idol.

On the heels of her runner-up status on American Idol, Bowersox sold out back-to-back shows in May 2011, at the Valentine Theatre. Her return home for her March 3rd concert was well received.

The concert, with Monte Mar at the SeaGate Centre, is part of an upcoming tour taking Bowersox from Connecticut to California.
