TOLEDO -- Local, state, federal, and university law enforcement officials have teamed up to take over $100,000 in illegal drugs, firearms, and currency off the streets of Toledo in operation Dirty Boy VI.

The Toledo Police Department led the operation, beginning Feb. 20 through Feb. 22, in an annual remembrance of late TPD Det. Keith Dressel and other fallen officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Dozens of search warrants were executed throughout the city of Toledo, netting 4.5 pounds of marijuana, 188 scheduled pharmaceuticals, 4.1 ounces of heroin, and 20.5 grams of cocaine. The total value of drugs seized in the operation is valued at $89,125.

Seven handguns and five long guns were also seized, as were $26,353 in US currency.

The raids brought about 94 felony and 66 misdemeanor charges to 111 people. Four felony warrants and 161 misdemeanor warrants were also served, along with 100 traffic citations issued.

Dirty Boy VI was conducted with help from the Toledo Police Vice Narcotics Unit, Toledo Metro Drug Task Force Unit, Toledo Police Gang Unit, Toledo Police SWAT teams, University of Toledo police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and agents from the FBI, DEA, and ATF.
