TOLEDO -- Disgraced University of Toledo track and cross country coach, Kevin Hadsell, is facing new accusations, most of which are detailed in a national article published by Deadspin.

In the article, Hadsell, who resigned as coach on Jan. 24, is said to have been forced to give up his position after a female runner accused him of sexual harassment. That runner also told the school that the 42-year-old coach had been in a long-term physical relationship with a fellow teammate and friend.

Deadspin claims they have obtained text messages from Hadsell's phone that portray an "obsessive and paranoid" man during the course of the university's investigation into his inappropriate behavior. The text messages are also said to include flirty and sexual undertones. According to the online magazine, Hadsell wrote about one of his female athletes, "Not gonna lie. I would hook up with {her} (I havmt) but if she wasn't psycho I would." He later wrote, "I'm down for drinks, laughs, sex. Other than that I value my free time."

Hadsell, who while at UT coached his runners to five Mid-American Conference championships, is said to have had a casual relationship with many of his runners. Deadspin claims runners told the publication Hadsell would regularly talk to them about sex, in addition to sending them suggestive text messages. Some also claim Hadsell was known to drink during practices, buy alcohol for underage runners, and even drive the team van while intoxicated.

The University of Toledo accepted Hadsell's resignation in late January, after the five-time MAC Coach of the Year admitted to violating university policy. "I have always told my student-athletes that there are rules, and that they must follow the rules or face the consequences," Hadsell wrote in a statement.  "I hold myself to the same standards; it would be hypocritical not to. Therefore, I have submitted my resignation today as the director of women's track & field and men's and women's cross country." One day later, he took to Twitter saying, "So I've gotten like 6 texts asking what's happening day 2. Haha. Nothing happening. I just am on Day 2 of a regular life. :)" He has maintained silence over the matter since that time.
