A Toledo man shot Friday at the intersection of Lagrange Avenue and Mettler Street is expected to survive, Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said.

According to the police report, officers responded to a call of a man shot at the intersection around 8:30 a.m. They found Marcus Buchanant unresponsive at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Buchanant was transported to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was given a breathing tube. Police report there was no obvious evidence of the crime at the scene and they have not been able to interview the victim.
