TOLEDO, OH -- For the third straight season, the Toledo Rockets will be playing in a bowl game. Toledo officially accepted an invitation to play in the 2012 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
After eight straight wins, including a 29-23 victory over then No. 21 Cincinnati, Toledo made the BCS Top 25. It was then back-to-back losses in November to Ball State and Northern Illinois that prevented UT from playing in the MAC championship.
The Rockets will face off with the No. 22 Utah State Aggies on Saturday, December 15th for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Toledo will have to prepare quickly for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl game on December 15th and will have to prepare thoroughly for their opponent the No. 22 Utah State Aggies.
The Aggies are coming off one of the best seasons in school history. They set a new team record with 10 victories, won the WAC title outright and went undefeated in conference play for the first time.
Kick off is set for 4:30pm Saturday, December 15.
