TOLEDO, OH -- It has been an unbelievable year for MAC football. Seven bowl invitations have set a new Mid-American conference record for most bowl game apperances in a single season. Two of those MAC teams playing in bowl games this post season are the Toledo Rockets and Bowling Green Falcons.
The UT Rockets have accepted their inviation to play the No. 22 Utah State Aggies in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Saturday, December 15th. This will be the 13th bowl for Toledo. The rockets have a 9-3 bowl record and most recently played in the 2011 Military Bowl in Washington D.C.
Bowling Green State's football team accepted their invitation to play in the 2012 Military Bowl. The Falcons will face No. 24 San Jose State on Thursday, December 27th in Washington D.C. This will be BGSU's 10th bowl game in school history.
