PERRYSBURG -- The 3rd annual Walk-A-Thon fundraiser was held today at Perrysburg Junior High School

All of the students participated. That is over 1,100 students who walked along side their teachers.

The students were asked to collect pledges from local businesses and families.

Robin Laird, the assistant principal, who helped organize the Walk-A-Thon, commented on what the funds are going to be put towards.

Laird said, "We are raising money for programming (and) technology."

Last year’s Walk-A-Thon raised $8,000, and this year the hope is to raise even more.

"The great part about it is, every kid is involved, it does not matter if they brought money in or not, they get to walk and support the school…the kids seem to love it."

Every student received a t-shirt for the Walk-A-Thon.
