PERRYSBURG -- The 8th annual ride to benefit Mom's House began at the Toledo Harley Davidson dealership today.

The police-escorted ride, around 60 miles long, left from the dealership at 1 p.m.

Mom's House helps young, low-income single mothers who are pursuing an education.

Christina Rodriguez, who organized this event, also the Executive Director of Mom's House, adds, "Our goal is to help them not only break cycles of poverty, but just to give them hope and have a brighter future not only for them but for them and their children."

Rodriguez also commented on the ride. "The biker demographic supports Mom's House in a huge way."

All proceeds from today's ride go directly to Mom's House programming.

Rodriguez expects to raise between $7,000 to $10,000.
