LONDON -- Northwest Ohio finally got to see Toledo-native Erik Kynard compete in the Olympics on Sunday and tonight, he'll go all the way for the gold.

Kynard will compete at 7 p.m. London time, 2 p.m. ET, in the Olympic Men's High Jump Finals. You can watch the event streaming live on NBCOlympics.com or replayed during prime time on WNWO.

In the qualifiers, Kynard cleared all three of his first height attempts. He missed the first attempt at 2.29 meters (7 feet 4 inches), but cleared it on his second try.

His USA teammates, Jamie Nieto and Jessie Williams, will also compete in the finals.

America last medaled in the high jump in 2004.
