The Clay Eagles underdog run through the OHSAA state baseball tournament finally hit a halt on Thursday at BGSU's Steller Field.

After allowing four runs to Ashland in the first inning, the Eagles were able to claw back into the game, but it wasn't enough as they fell in the Divison I Regional semifinal, 5-2.

At Patrick Henry four local teams battled in the Division IV Regional semifinals. First up, Leipsic knocked off Ottawa Hills 6-3. Nate Shey had a 2-run home run for the Vikings.

In game two, Tinora ended Gibsonburg's run with a 9-0 shutout. The Rams will meet Leipsic in the Regional final on Friday at 5pm.
