Bowsher wins City League baseball title

BOWMAN PARK -- Despite being eliminated from the OHSAA state tournament, the Bowsher and Start baseball teams had a shot for a championship on Tuesday night.

The two team met in the City League finals at Bowman Park.

Bowsher held a 2-1 lead going into the final inning and added two more to secure the title, 4-1. Rebels pitcher Jake Almanza was dominant on the mound and was named MVP of the tournament.
