Three of the top four seeds in the Division I Toledo District were knocked out in Sectionals, on Thursday night Clay took care of top seeded St. John's in the District semis, 5-1. The Eagles tied it in the 3rd and won it with four runs in the 8th.

In the nightcap, it was a battle of Sylvania with Southview coming out on top over Northview, 4-3. The Cougars scored all four runs in the 2nd, two on walks with the bases loaded, one on a fielder's choice, and one on a loose ball.

A double header at Archbold's Memorial Park saw Defiance taking on Central Catholic in game one.  Defiance's Anthony Kidston, who will throw for Louisville next year, was on the mound and was looking as good as advertised.  Kidston allowed just one hit while striking out twelve in a complete game shut out.  Rob Zeigler and Dom Gentile provided the run support as the Bulldogs won 2-0.

Game two gave us Sandusky Perkins up against Bryan.  Perkins got a run in the first thanks to Kyle Lewis connecting with two runners on. It wasn't until the fourth that this game was decided.  Logan Worley drove in a run to trigger a seven run inning that Perkins never looked back from. The Pirates won the game 9-1. Perkins will play Defiance on Saturday.
