When women's basketball coach Curt Miller left Bowling Green State University for Indiana last month, BGSU Athletic Director Greg Christopher said he would conduct a nationwide search for a successor.

He didn't spend much on travel expenses.

Monday night the University announced long-time assistant Jennifer Roos, is the new head basketball coach.

Roos was originally hired in 2001 as an assitant and later named associate head coach.

She is also the recruiting coordinator for the Falcons.

Roos did briefly assume the head coaching duties after Miller suffered a stroke earlier this year.  She now gets the job on full-time basis.

"“I am thrilled to lead this team and this program," said Roos in a statement released by BGSU. "I can think of no greater school to continue my coaching career and begin my head-coaching tenure.”
