"I'm really proud of the effort. I hate to see...two careers end of our two seniors because they've worked so hard but we wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for them...we always talk about leaving a legacy and those two certainly left a legacy at the end," said Cullop in regards to Ingersoll and senior Haylie Linn. Linn finished with 15 points in her final game wearing midnight blue and gold.
Dortch finished with a team high 23 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists. Start alum Yolanda Richardson added 10 points and five rebounds.
Toledo was attempting to become the first school to win two WNIT titles. Afterward coach Cullop made it clear who she was rooting for to succeed the Rockets as champions.
"If we can't do it, we want the team that beat us to do it and we wish them the very best."
