Whitmer would get off to an amazing start in this game. A few minutes into the second quarter, the Panthers had a 22-2 lead! Three pointers from Leroy Alexander and Luke Hickey helped spark the twenty point lead, along with stiff defense.  St. Edwards would make a run themselves that would bring them to within four in the third quarter.  Nigel Hayes kicked it up a notch by blocking a shot then getting an assist to Chris Wormley on the other end for the dunk to put Whitmer back up ten.  Another St. Eds run would cut the lead to three, but once again the Panthers responded.  Alexander hit a short jumper, and then found Ricardo Smith the very next possession for a hoop and the foul to cap off a 10-1 run.

Whitmer clinched the game late with free throws and are now headed to the state championship game tomorrow night.  Final Score: Whitmer 62 - Lakewood St. Edwards 51
