The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team didn't score a point until nearly six minutes into the second round of their WNIT match-up against the University of Toledo and by then, it was too late.

The Rockets blasted out to a 10-0 lead to start the game and cruised to a 72-51 win.

Senior Courtney Ingersoll is scheduled to take part in the annual three point competition that coincides with the Final Four in a few weeks, she got some pretty good practice Monday night.

Ingersoll hit 6-of-9 from three point range and led all scorers with 24 points.  Both totals are career-high's for the Massilon, OH native.

She also tied former teammates Melissa Goodall and Jessica Williams for most games played in school history by appearing in her 131st contest for the Rockets.

"Every once in awhile a player has a game like that," said Ingersoll.  "Where they just feel like they can throw something up and it's going to fall in...it was as wide as the ocean."

"Courtney obvisoulsy had an outstanding shooting game," said head coach Tricia Cullop.  "She's a senior who doesn't want to be denied and [I] couldn't be more proud of her."

UT has now won nine straight post-season home games.

Next up, the Rockets will host Virginia Commonwealth University, who knocked off BGSU last week, in the WNIT's Sweet Sixteen on Thursday at Savage.

Tip-off is 7:00 pm.
