The Notre Dame girls basketball team made their first trip to state on Friday, and it ended in tears. The Eagles failed to reach Saturday's Division I championship game, 54-45.

In the Division IV boys Reginoal Final at BGSU, Arlington knocked off previously unbeaten Edgerton, 56-33, to punch their ticket to Columbus. In the Division III final, Ottawa-Glandorf topped Lima Central Catholic, 44-38.

Finally, at Savage Arena, the Toledo Lady Rockets picked up right where they left off last season winning their WNIT opener over Detroit, 59-49. Junior Kyle Baumgartner had 18 points and 13 boards to lead the way.
