The afternoon started out great for the Toledo Rockets and their fans.

The women were victorious on the road over Buffalo, 77-75. Sophomore Andola Dortch lead with 18.

Things turned sour at night, however, as the men trailed by four at halftime to Kent State then couldn't seem to keep a handle on the ball as they fell 77-61. The Rockets had 19 turnovers in the game.

"I thought we hung our heads, I thought we felt sorry for ourselves...they out toughed us," said Rockets Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk.

Sophomore Rian Pearson had a team high 22 points.

On the high school front, Whitmer topped Massillon Washington 45-43.
