Madonna to perform at Super Bowl halftime

Madonna is scheduled to perform the halftime of Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis. The annocement came during the Detroit-New Orleans game Sunday night. The Grammy winning singer will take the stage at Lucas Oil Stadium on February 5th.

The Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 162 million in the U.S. watched The Black Eyed Peas' performance at Cowboys Stadium last February.
