Second half run does in Falcons

STROH CENTER -- The Bowling Green men's basketball team hung tight with George Washington, but a 16-2 run by the Colonials to open the second half ultimately did the Falcons in as they dropped their first home game of the season 77-56 on Wednesday night.

Senior Scott Thomas led the orange and brown with 15 points while shooting 3-5 from long range. Sophomore Craig Sealey was the next closest in double figures scoring nine while pulling down eight rebounds.

BG shot only 29% from the field in the second half, for the game they shot just 36%. The stat that sums up the night for the Falcons is three point shooting. Both teams attempted 17 shots from long range, GW made 11 whereas BG made only five.

Bowling Green drops to 3-2 with the loss, next up is a home game with Temple on Sunday, tip-off at 2pm.
