Latest local news, weather and high school sports for Toledo area

State titles and trips to the regional finals on the line for local schools

An important Saturday for a number of local teams hoping to win a state championship.

It's the Regional Semi-Finals in football and Whitmer blasted Canton McKinley, 37-6 in Division I

In Divison IV, Eastwood and Genoa both fall.

The news not good for Tiffin Calvert in Division VI but Leipsic beats McComb in two overtimes, 34-28.

St. Ursula had a chance to bring a pair of state titles back to northwest Ohio but came up short in both instances.

The Arrow volleyball team could not make it back-to-back state championships as they fell to Cincinnati Mt. Notre Dame, 3-1.

In Columbus, the Arrow soccer team lost to Columbus St. Francis de Sales, 2-0.
