District championships were on the line on Saturday for volleyball and boys and girls soccer.

St. Ursula was the big winner on the day, as they advanced in both soccer and volleyball. The Arrows continued their perfect season, as they look for another state championship, by defeating Central Catholic in straight sets, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23. "Central's a great team. It feels great to win and we worked hard and practiced hard so...payoff is nice," said junior Maddie Burnham. At Lake high school, the soccer team advanced with a 5-0 win over Bowling Green.

In a showdown of NLL foes, Northview defeated Anthony Wayne 1-0 on a 1st half goal by Courtney Hendrix to take the Division I girls soccer title.

On the boys side, St. John's came back from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Southview 2-1. Matt Almester scored both goals for the Titans, in what was a heated contest on the field and in the stands. "This was the biggest game of the season...everyone was out here cheering us on...it was great," said Almester.

Finally, in Division III, the number one team in the state, Ottawa Hills, scored five unanswered goals in the second half to defeat Continental 5-1.
