TOLEDO - The Toledo Mud Hens served as hosts to WNWO's Camp Courageous fundraiser before Tuesday night's game.
An appearance by Professional Golfer Phil Blackmar was the highlight to WNWO's "Closest To The Pin" competition, an event geared towards raising money for Camp Courageous.
For the event, one player was selected to represent each of the 4 major donors, which have collectively pledged $20,000 to the special needs charity.
Blackmar and the 4 other players then hit a golf ball into the outfield, in the hopes of landing closest to a WNWO banner.
The winner, Harold Cassel, representing UAW Region 2B received a $1,000 donation, on behalf of WNWO, to be given to Camp Courageous.
Mercy Health Partners, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as well at UAW Locals 12, 14 and the Toledo area UAW Cap Council were also part of the event.
Camp Courageous works with developmentally challenged children and adults.
The public can make donations to the charity during WNWO's telethon on August 4th from 6 to 8 p.m.
