He is one of the most well-liked coaches to ever come out of northwest Ohio and it looks like former University of Toledo Rocket player and coach Stan Joplin, will be back on the bench this coming basketball season.
Pending approval by the school board, Joplin will be the next head coach of the Springfield High School Blue Devils.
Joplin will succeed another former UT basketball player Tim Reiser, who announced his retirement last month after 25 years at the helm.
Joplin has been out of coaching since he was fired by UT back in 2008, one year after he was named MAC coach of the year.
