The University of Toledo football program now has one less quarterback on its roster - DJ Lenehan left school at the end of the spring semester.
The sophomore quarterback got more playing time than expected as a freshman two seasons ago after injuries plagued the Rockets trigger man.
Lenehan started in three games including a Bufallo contest that saw him pass for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. He red shirted last season, but there is no word on where he may transfer to next.
The Rockets head into the season with Aaron Opelt number one on the depth chart, while three quarterbacks are fighting for the back-up job
The team is also taking a black eye in the public eye. Toledo kicker Alex Steigerwald was recently arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Steigerwald is probably best know as booting the game winning kick in the Rockets upset win over Michigan last season.
There is no word on if Steigerwald will face any punishment from the football team.
