TOLEDO -- Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Toledo Monday evening in anticipation of his campaign rally Tuesday morning on the campus of the University of Toledo.
The vice president is expected to speak at 11 a.m. inside the auditorium of the Student Union. Doors open at 9 a.m. You must have a ticket to get in, all of which sold out last week.
Landon Jordan, a member of the University of Toledo's College Democrats, says many students hope Biden will talk about issues related to college education.
"I hope that he talks about what President Obama has been talking about which is keeping the student loan rates down, and offering more Pell Grant opportunities," Jordan said.
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur says President Obama and Vice President Biden know the importance of the college vote in this election.
"They have been going to campuses across the state and the young people are very aware of how strongly President Obama and Vice President Obama support their future, their education," Rep. Kaptur said.
Polls show the race has tightened in Ohio. Most political pundits agree the candidate who wins Ohio's 18 electoral votes will likely win the election.
