FREMONT -- The severely injured donkey seized by the Humane Society of Sandusky County last Friday is recovering from his injuries.  Animal cruelty investigator Kelly Askins says that Henry was injured when his owner tied the 20-year-old donkey to the back of a tractor and dragged the animal down a gravel road.  "The one thing that we are most concerned about is the injury above his right eye as there was a deep laceration clear to the bone," Ms. Askins said.

Henry and the other 14 animals are being cared for in temporary foster homes.  Askins plans to file criminal charges against Jenny Secrist, the owner of the animals seized last Friday. "I am in the process of writing up the charges, which will be 14 charges of animal neglect," Ms. Askins said.
