TOLEDO -- The Professional Remodeler Organization (PRO) President’s Project in collaboration with Sylvania Southview High School, held a celebration to reveal a newly constructed house for Veronica, Tom and Valerie Taylor of Toledo, to make the house a home.

Valerie Taylor suffers multiple disabilities which include Spastic Quadriplegia, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Asthma, Glaucoma, vision and hearing loss, and Spasmodic Torticollis.

The Taylor’s living situation was brought to the attention of PRO, by a group of students at Sylvania Southview High School after they raised $32,000.

The old home was 540 square feet, but now is 1,533 square feet.

Veronica, Valerie’s mother, commented after taking a tour of their new house.

Veronica said, "I cannot believe this is really happening. Words cannot describe how wonderful this is going to be for our entire family."

The Taylor family reveal comes after several months of planning and fundraising.

Rick Morel, Executive Director of Professional Remodeler Organization, commented when first approached about this project, saying, "They approached us, we saw the need and we reacted…we looked at the plan and said yes, we can help them."

The Taylor’s new house features a handicapped equipped track to transport Valerie, an open floor plan so she can maneuver through the house, and an open, handicapped equipped shower.

"This has been an unbelievable adventure from the beginning to the end. It is just amazing. Words cannot even describe how it is," Veronica said.
