TOLEDO -- The man accused of fatally shooting a 20-year-old last week was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on Monday morning.

Tyler Watson, 23, is charged with one count of murder in the death of Nicholas Linke, who was found shot to death in his car at the corner of Ontario Street and Galena Street in Toledo on Sept. 8.

Watson was arrested last Wednesday at his apartment in Monroe, Mich., and then extradited to Toledo. According to court documents, Watson was issued a public defender and his bond was set at $1 million during his arraignment this morning. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Sept. 24.

Police report Linke was shot in front of a store on Buckeye Street before driving a short distance and crashing his car in the 1900 block of Ontario. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital from a gunshot wound to the torso.
