Sylvania Township police are again asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a 60-year-old man.

The family is now offering a $2,000 reward for information surrounding the fatal shooting of Darryl Stipes on June 21.

Late that night, Stipes called 911 to report he had been shot four times. During the call, the victim struggled to speak loud enough for the dispatcher to hear his address and the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Police responded to Stipes' home at 3322 Walmar Rd. around 10:30 p.m. He was taken to a Toledo hospital for treatment, where he later died from gunshot wounds to the upper torso, according to authorities.

Stipes told the dispatcher that a white and black man had robbed him before the shooting.

Anyone with information can contact Sylvania police at (419)-882-2055. The family contact, Ric Anger, can be reached at 734-536-1414.
