Several Lenten drives at Toledo area Catholic schools will raise items for those in need.

TOLEDO -- During Lent 2012, all of the Toledo area Catholic High Schools will be collecting needed items for the residents of the Sacred Heart Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
These Catholic High Schools will each hold a week long collection drive and the Little Sisters will be personally picking up the donated items at each school.

Cardinal Stritch Catholic H.S. Friday – March 9 – 2 p.m. Pickup
Notre Dame Academy Friday – March 16 – 2 p.m. Pickup
St. Ursula Academy Friday – March 16 – 2:30 p.m. Pickup
St. Francis de Sales High School Friday – March 23 -- 2 p.m. Pickup
Central Catholic High School Friday – March 30 – 2 p.m. Pickup
The Little Sisters of the Poor is a Catholic religious order whose sole Mission is to care for the elderly poor. They have 30 nursing homes in the nation.
Here in Northwest Ohio, they have operated the Sacred Heart Home located in Oregon, Ohio since 1885. There are 73 long-term residents of the home and another 30 seniors in the local area serviced by their Senior Day Care Center.
