TOLEDO -- Toledo police are investigating a pair of homicides and a stabbing that are unrelated but happened just miles apart.

First, around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night, 25 year old Justin Smith was shot and killed in the 1000 block of Fernwood Avenue in Central Toledo.  When cops arrived, Smith had already been taken to Toledo Hospital where he died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.  There's no suspect or motive and it's not clear who took Smith to the emergency room.

Then shortly after midnight, Toledo police were called out to another shooting.  This time, in the 1800 block of Ottawa Drive.  Investigators say 40 year old Howard Williams was shot and killed during a domestic dispute.

Police have identified the shooter as 50 year old April Jones.  The suspect is in the hospital but cops have not said for what reason.  So far she's not been charged with any crimes.

Meanwhile, a Toledo man is in the hospital after he was stabbed several times in the back on Collingwood Boulevard.  It happened Sunday night around 9 p.m. at the Pinewood Place Apartments.  The victim's name and condition have not been released.

If you know anything about this incident or the shooting death of Justin Smith call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
