Weekend shooting victim becomes city's tenth homicide victim

TOLEDO, OH -- A man shot at an impromptu car show this weekend at Detroit Ave. and Monroe St. died this afternoon at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center, making him the city's tenth homicide victim.

Eric Daniels, 41 was shot Sunday evening and transported by private vehicle to St. Vincent's. When police arrived at the location, they found only a few shell casings.

He was one of two murder victims shot on Sunday. Marquan McCuin was found shot to death in an alley behind the 1100 block of Gordon St. early Sunday morning. Police have issued a warrant for Gerald Banks, 18, of Toledo in connection with the McCuinn murder.
