MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP -- An accident last night in Middleton Township has left a woman with serious injuries.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., 28-year-old Amanda Westphal of Toledo was driving eastbound on Roachton Road, west of Fort Meigs Road, when she went over a set of railroad tracks and lost control of her vehicle.  This caused her 2001 Ford Focus to strike a utility pole and overturn.

Westphal was life-flighted from the scene.  Authorities say she received serious injuries, but her exact condition is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
