The Ohio Board of Regents has recommended that every state college and university consider a smoking ban.
Currently, the state laws prohibited smoking in all public buildings, including the residence halls on campuses.
It also states that you must be at least 25 feet away from any building while smoking.
If this new policy is enacted, smoking will be banned on the campus entirely.
However, according to students, there is no-one that regulates the current rules day to day.
If the policy passes on Monday, BGSU will be joined by Kent State and Ohio State as a smoke free campus, but it wouldn't go into effect this fall
